Munch & Mingle

Another very successful munch and mingle was had by many today. I know I for one enjoy the interaction with you guys and from all the laughing and smiling I see going on I think it's safe to assume you have fun too.
A warm thank you to each and every one of you who bought food, we again had a good selection and some yummy stuff to nibble on! If you want to add any recipes to our branch cook book (more info in the branch newsletter for October) please email me or give me a copy on Sunday.
Our next M&M is on 21st November. Again the food sign up sheet will be handed around or I will come find you, however I think if you are happy, then maybe we can bring the same food each month? Let me know what you think.

Free Lds Toolbar

Grab the free Lds Toolbar that has many great features for almost any browser.

Some of the advantages with it are:
  • Byu, kbyu and many other radio channels. Even add your own!
  • Direct links to the scriptures, both written and audio.
  • All official and non official Lds links are listed.
  • Conferences available.
  • Google search engine built in.
  • A range of official Lds news sites a click away.
  • Byu tv stations available.
I've been using this toolbar since it first came our a couple of years ago, I love to listen to the scriptures or a talk or even a cooking show whilst I work or do some crafting. I enjoy browsing the links, reading the church news and just having all the things I enjoy a few clicks away.

I don't need to use you tube as much as I used to (though I do still like the official church lists there!) and I can have things on in the background as I go about the house doing other things.

It also allows me to feel connected to the Lds community even when I'm alone.

There is a small link on the left sidebar. You can also click here to download it.

Enjoy

Newsletters now online

There seems to be some problem with some opening the newsletters, as yet I haven’t found the common document that works for all so for the time being I shall be using the blog to host the current months branch and stake activities. Please check it, any questions please email me.

If you look just below the banner at the top of this page you will see two tabs, one for newsletter and one for stake activities, both have the option to comment to ask questions or add anything you would like to share. Alternatively you can still email me:

fodactivities@gmail.com

I will still have hard copies in the reception on the first Sunday of the month so please be sure you are up to date with what is going on.

Under Construction

Even though you have this link, I am still working on bringing as much branch/stake and church information here as I reasonably can. If you are familiar with blogger and/or html and wish to help out please drop me an email.

If you have any links, photos or church information that is appropriate to share, not only with The Forest of Dean Branch but anyone who visits, please email and I will update.
